Monday Quirks

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm sick and tired of hearing these sayings:

1) "He's a true freshman"

Any person who enters his/her first year of college after attending high school will be a freshman.

2) "He gives us 110%"

I guess many of these schmucks skipped math class. The law of numbers says 100% is the highest.

3) "I know I had the right side"

After team B, a favorite of 9 points, gets beat by team A. If you had the right side, you would have won

I'm sure there are many more, lets hear 'em :D

Why is it that suspect play-calling never gets questioned when it works! For instance, your team is ahead by 3 with two minutes left and the QB throws for the first down and they run out the clock. Coach is a genius.

Or the pass is imcomplete and you question whether he should have run the ball, but they win so all is forgotten.

Or the opposing team kicks FG to tie and wins in OT and the coach is a frigging moron!

In other words, it is not the play calling that determines whether the coach is a moron, but the execution by the players, IMO.

i agree with that one
