  • Celtics total dropping

The total on the BOS/NJ game has dropped a couple points. Anybody know why? I have to be missing something....
My rating system is as follows:

    1-10 units on plays typically
20+ on extremely hot picks, goy, etc. (VERY rare)
    ---------------------------------------------------
    LAST SEASON:

    CBB 75-42-4 +142.6 UNITS ($14260) YEAH BABY!!!

    NFL 1-0 +1 UNITS ($100)

    NBA 49-30-4 +93.2 UNITS ($9320)

I know, but this line seems too low. Also, I can only believe the general public would bet the over, hence pushing it up. Instead, it has gone down. It just makes me suspicious.

Neil, I know it is often debated, but in my opinion the publics petty bets ($25-few hundred) don't move lines. Big money (10k +) does, which more often than not is what you might call "sharp" money...

Personally, I hate betting a total w NJ in it because they are one of those teams that you never know who's gonna show up. If I had to guess why this line moved I would say a lot of money has been moved on the under, orrrrr, it has been confirmed that Carter is out.
        Great Day To Win

        MLB 2008 (19-23-1) +3.0 units

        NBA 08-09 (10-7) + 1.59 units

        GOY (4-1)

Yeah, the large bets move it up, or the small bets will if there are enough of them. Carter is out tonight, and I believe that is confirmed. And I know what you mean about Jersey, you just never know. Anyways, I STILL believe this total is too low.

One thing is certain, the only way NJ can beat the Celts is in a lower scoring game...they don't have the firepower to beat Boston in a shootout...I do agree that number looks low, but it makes sense and it's there for a reason 94-82 Celts IMO...but best of luck
