  • Playing a 10 team Parlay card

Last weekend I played a 10 team parlay card for 20 bucks.
    On it was
    Arizona -2
    Miami +4
    Cleveland +11
    St. Louis +13
    Cincinnati +7
    Atlanta Under 37
    Washington Over 39
    Buffalo Under 40
    Seattle Under 41
    KC-4

Last time I put those weak saps on one of my tickets! 200 to 1. 20 Bucks. Huard and company cost me 4gs.

Anyway, this week I want to rely on my forum friends. Perhaps between now and Saturday, whoever is interested can give me their favorite play. I will take 10 of them and try it again. NFL or CFB, doesnt matter.

Hey man we should just create a Parlay thread every week and post all our parlays in there. I have like 5 parlays for this week so far. I should just bet on all my games seperate but I like the BIG money!
Record (started keeping track as of 11/10/07)
    NCAAF: 14-9
    NFL: 7-6
    NBA: 4-4-2
    CBB: 10-6-1

Keep track of your parlay records and how many Units are used on losing parlays. The odds are so against a 10-teamer hitting that Vegas and most locals lick their chops when they get these. Its akin to free money.

If you had played all 10 straight and went 9-1, think of the $$$ you would have. Parlays ( especially 10-teamers) are for suckers.

      GL though
You can't always get what you want, but if you try some time, you might find, you get what you need.

What's the best way to keep track of "units"? Any good software or something?

Well then call me a sucker cuz I seem to hit at least 1 every other weekend.

I noticed people generally complain about parlays on this site but I think they're great. I do hit them now and then and for the huge extra payout on those days it makes it worth the 20 to 100 bucks I toss out on them...I find them a great way to bet a bunch of games you're interested in but dont want to fund betting each individual one...anyways,that's why they call this GAMBLING!
          Great Day To Win

          MLB 2008 (19-23-1) +3.0 units

          NBA 08-09 (10-7) + 1.59 units

          GOY (4-1)

Gpa, I agree that they are few and far between as far as winners goes but I do play the games, about 70 pct of them, individually. And think about it. Play a ten teamer for 20 bucks every week for 17 weeks and it costs you $340. One winner gets you back $4000 at 20 bucks. You can bet them for 13 straight seasons and win just one and you are ahead. I know its a longshot but like Eljugo says its a fun way to play a bunch of games. Plus, if you look at the reverse of your theory, going 0-10 only costs you 20 bucks. I play $50 a unit. Parlay cards at 20 bucks. So thats less than half a unit. Dont see the downside really.

I highly doubt you're hitting a 10-teamer every other weekend. I doubt you're hitting one every other season. If I'm wrong and are you hitting them that frequently feel free to post them in advance.

I agree buddy--at this stage of the game a two teamer is tough--there have been so many twists and turns that to be on the right side of ten teams would have to be real FKN lucky or you are just that good--

If it is what it is---post it and we will play it or at least know it is the real deal!! GL my man.

                    I agree.

A GREAT handicapper might hit 60% for the season. A 60% capper has a 6 in 1000 chance of hitting a 10-team parlay vs. the spread.

About 55% capper had a 5.5/1000 chance of hitting a 10 team parlay.

Mathematically, if one plays two 10 team parlays each week during the 17 week NFL season a 60% capper will can expect to hit 1 parlay every 5 years.

I agree. If you hit one 10 Team Parlay per year, i would be shocked!

i have never hit a ten teamer in 17 years--I guess I quit playing them 16 years ago--I would rather throw my 10 or 20 bucks on a straight bet--

I mentioned in response to Gpa that you could hit one every 13years and break even. And thats true. And I never said anything about hitting one every other weekend and obviously that is next to impossible. I play them to have a little fun. Like the lottery. Or a scratch off game. Regardless, I was hoping to get some picks up here and I will make it a bc parlay card. So lets not argue about hitting 10 teamers every other weekend because we all know thats not the case.

That being said, give me some picks, darn it.
