Llloyd Carr Retiring?

Three separate sources indicate that Carr has made his decision to retire official and people around the athletic department are being told. The formal announcement will come after the Ohio State game, possibly at the Monday press conference, possibly a day or two later.

Looks like Les Miles will be going to Michigan.

I think this is the only job that Les Miles would consider leaving for... He is such a good fit for Michigan and he would not have near the strength of conference he has now..... I think he would love to get away from that too.... it's brutal down here in the SEC. (not pimping any conferences here guys, thats not what this thread is about)

Les Miles has a clause in his contract that says that he does not have to pay his buyout to leave if the Michigan job, and only the Michigan job, comes open

As much of a Michigan fan am I, I would not mind seeing Carr leave. He does not have the ultimate say on the plays but some of those decisions of his staff are so stupid that it has cost them a lot of games. Make way for a new era with Ryan Mallet and a new coach next year. I for one have been waiting and think this is about 2-3 years overdue if it is true.
