Despite my overall record, I'm in an NFL slump, losing a 2* last week and four of my last five pro plays. I had a lot of action yesterday but no ramifications as I went 2-2 with a push and even pushed my opinion play. No huge plays today, but three nice ones I like.
1* Bills +1
I admit to being the only person in America who thinks J.P. Losman can still be a good NFL quarterback. But this is mostly a pick against the completely screwed-up Bengals who showed their true colors when they were smacked at home last week in an important game by the Steelers. They're a team with no character and I think they'll quit against Buffalo's hard-nosed defense.
1* Browns -1
Cleveland is underrated and Seattle is overrated. I'm impressed with the Browns non-conf win on the road last week against a Rams team that was desperate for a win. Take a fair AFC team at home against a fair NFC team.
1* Texans +3
One of my four NFL losses this year was when I played the Raiders as a favorite. They NEVER win when favored (seven of the last eight were straight up losses). Houston started fast and is sliding but three is a lot points against a team that cannot score. Houston's off the bye and has had two weeks to try to fix its woeful defense and gets to play a team with zero offense.
Opinions only:
Packers/Chiefs UNDER
Eagles (I might upgrade this one to a full play)
Unrelated opinion:
The BCS should rank Kansas number two as I think there isn't a team in America that would be favored over them (or could beath them) at home.
Second unrelated comment:
I tailed Wayne's GOY yesterday and it put me over the top for a profit on the day despite my own 2-2-2 picks. Thanks, Wayne
