Saturday's contest figures to be another challenge for USC, even though the Trojans have outscored Hawaii 173-18 in winning all four meetings and took the most recent matchup 62-7 in the 1999 opener in Honolulu.
The season debut of Hawaii junior Timmy Chang, the nation's second-leading passer last season with 4,474 yards. Chang missed a season-opening 40-17 victory over Appalachian State on Aug. 30 while serving a one-game suspension for an academic violation.
