Mike Lowell is good but he is what he is....A good fielder and a .280 ish guy who knocks in 80-95 RBI's a year.....I love him, but lets be real...he gets to see alot of good pitches hitting behind the big boys....

Also Drew I think will be fine....I am not a fan, but if you look at his #'s this year was the exception....

Actually, same for Lugo......I think each will improve
Sure all three may get better;the point is that Lowell has already proven himself and was instrumental this year in helping team win the division and WS.
If Sox can afford to gamble with big bucks that Drew, Matsuzaka and Lugo will get better, they sure as hell should gamble that a player who has ALREADY exceeded all expectations in Boston can continue to perform well.
He is a PROVEN winner and should not be let go!

I will not argue that....I am saying just be patient....those others like lowell will be paid by past performance....which is all you can do and also the going-rate/market...

I do not think it will be $$$$'s with lowell, but years....JMHO

Hey I know you are dating lowell but all of us sox fans appreciate his contributions....and i would not mind even overpaying a little....I would do 3 yrs 40 million

Obviously, if Lowell asks absurd numbers, then you have to let him go, but within reason, sign him.
ps Although I don't have anything personally against gays, and am not of that persuasion or even a "switch hitter," I would be curious as to whether anyone in this forum is, and if so who their ideal "date" would be from the Sox or for that matter any player in baseball.
If we have any closet gays or "switch hitters," please step forward and answer the question posed.

It might be an unusual question, but why is it different than asking what baseball players straight women find attractive?

Well for one it is natural for a woman to find a man attractive.......

And two if someone were gay here I am sure this is not the place where they confess it.....

Just for the record I think I would date Big Papi

No more obsession with Lowell than those who voted him the MVP of the WS and others who want him to return.

Dimers Ideal Date would be Big Papi, they would go to an all you can eat buffet and then lather themselves up with lard and wrestle throughout the night.

KB would love to swill beers with Varitek, talk about tractors and horses and then brokeback each other. At least KB picked the "catcher"

TTT Ideal date would be Pedroia because he likes to toss little guys around, and he would remind him of rook.

Chungs Ideal date would be Dice K, because you can't understand either one of them.

JC's Ideal date would be Manny Ramirez, because if anyone could appreciate JC's Dr Phil instincts it would be Manny, he needs the help
