How & why are the Rockies more than 2-1 underdogs and with their ace in game 1 catching +185.....what more does this team need to do to garner respect.

I honestly thought a fair price for the series wouldve been

    -150
    +140

This is a joke and with the given odds on a team that has won 21 out of 22 I have no choice but to back the Rockies.....I have 2 days to think about this but most likely I will be play the Rockies.

    Thoughts?

I really wonder if the layoff will hurt the Rockies Pitchers and/or batters?

Thinking the same thing when I saw those odds. I don't see why Colorado can't go into Boston and take at least a game, to start the series off, and go from there.

Colorado won 2 of 3 in Boston Earlier this Year. Francis beat Beckett 7-1 and Schilling lost the other one!

Just matters what way you look at this series. Rockies have an incredible streak and the Red Sox have more fire power both pitching and hitting.

I like Beckett, Schilling, and Daiske over Francis, Jimenez, Fogg/Morales
            MLB (2014): (3-4) -.9 units

It hurt the Tigers last year so I was assuming that it would hurt the Rockies but to make $$ on Boston at those odds the Sox would have to beat them 4-2 just to break even.....Sox win 4-3 and Rocks backers will make $$ and if the Rocks win you will make lots of cash backing them

According to all the stats, hitting is about dead even and Boston has an advantage in pitching.

Rockies Dangerfield -- They Get No Respect

I think the Rockies will be the dog every game, even at home, regardless who is pitching. This means I'll be backing them automatically with my dog plays and as MCPimp also said, if Boston wins series 4-3, the dog plays make money. Wednesday, I'm going to be playing a team that has gone 21-1 their last 22 at plus 186 or I think even higher. Value, value, value.

The first game line is high because of Beckett. People have short memories and don't remember what happened months ago when Colorado and Frances beat Beckett 7-1. All they remember is what Beckett has done in the Post Season so far. I also think the American League dominance over the National League also affects the line.

I'm hoping the layoff won't affect the Rockies, but as Wayne said, it's a concern. They had to practice indoors Sunday because of snow. That can't help.

If you are talking about financial interest, it makes sense to take the dog every time out, and hope for the best
You can't always get what you want, but if you try some time, you might find, you get what you need.

The line for the series and game 1 is high because if the line was 3-2 or lower, 90% of the bettors would take Boston and the books can't have that.

I have been waiting to see what this line would be and I truly believe this layoff the rockies have had will hurt them and vegas sees that. IMO.

Abosultely NOT. They had almost a week off before they faced the D Backs and they came out and fuckin swept them. The Rockies played 3 games vs the Red Sox this season @ Fenway and won 2 out of 3 outscoring them 20-5. I know this was back in June but that was even before they were as hot as they are now. I am definately taking the Rockies at that ludicrous price. No respect for a team of destiny.
