I went 1-1 in CFB last weekend, winning easily with Mich State and losing with disappointing Arkansas. My college picks continue to badly lag my pro plays, which are now 14-1.
2* Troy -19
Troy is one of the top two teams in the Sun Belt and already has a crushing win over Oklahoma State. The Troy offense this year is spectacular and the running game is very good. North Texas is terrible against the run and won a misleading game at home last week over Lou-Monroe thanks only to a couple of big plays. Troy ripped the same Monroe team earlier. Troy is rested off the bye, is already 2-0 at home, and has a great coaching staff while North Texas is weary and coached by a gang that was running a high school team last year. Troy by 30+.
1* Pitt +10
I look for a big letdown from Cincinnati after being knocked from the unbeaten ranks last week and they must travel now to meet an OK Pitt team that would have beaten Navy last week were it not for another one of Wannstedt's bad decisions. Pitt's freshman quarterback gets a little better every week.
1* Louisiana-Monroe -13 1/2
Florida International is the WORST team in college football. They can't score. Monroe started its season with a brutal schedule for a small school: Tulsa, Clemson, A & M and Troy. They're coming around and get a home game against a very weak opponent.
I intend to play one other game but won't post it until I bet it as I expect the line to move in my favor over the next couple of days.
