I went 5-0 last weekend in the NFL to remain perfect for the year. I was 1-1 yesterday in CFB but managed to hit both of my opinon plays (which don't count toward my record). On the rated plays, I lost with Arkansas and won easily with Mich State, which in retrospect should have been at leat a 2* play. Onward to the sport I'm excelling in----the NFL. Both plays were posted earlier in my CFB thread at the lines I obtained at the time.
1* Browns -4 (-115)
Cleveland is better than people think and played tough against New England on the road last week (the 17-point loss was a little misleading). Miami, on the other hand, is messed up and the Cleve QB situation is much better. The Browns, at home, could kill the Dolphins. At the very least, I look for a one touchdown win.
1* Cowboys +6
New England is the best team in the NFL and my pick to win the Super Bowl. They are crushing teams right now. But this is a ludicrous line. The Patriots are on the road in a non-conference game. Teams like that DON'T lay six points. I was very impressed with Dallas' ability to win a Monday night game despite throwing five picks against Buffalo (I had the Bills in that game). The Cowboys offense is awesome. The line on this game should be a "pick 'em." I could talk about systems, scheduling situations, etc. (which all point to Dallas), but I'll just say take the value which means taking the points.
Opinion only:
Chiefs/Bengals UNDER
(This would be a rated play if I wasn't so frugal in NFL picks)
