Poll Question Regarding the Internet

I thought on this slow day it might be interesting to pose a couple of relevant questions:
1) On an average how many hours a day do you spend on the internet?
2) Out of the hours mentioned in #1, how many of those are related to gambling and with forums like this one?
3)If you are married and/or have a significant other, what are her/his feelings toward the questions posed in #1 and# 2 and what kind of impact(which I assume for most part would be negative) has it had on your relationship?

1- 845 am till 545 pm and then some at home so around 11 hours a day.

2 - around 1-2 hours per day

3 - I try to hide it as much as possible

I guess I should tell you about how long I spend on the internet as I started the thread.
The bad news I guess from my wife's point of view anyways is that I spend way too much time on the internet-I would say honestly about 8 hours a day at least(and that might be conservative).
I would say that probably around 80% of that is spent with gambling related activities such as betting, reading posts and posting my own commentary much of which relates to sports services.
The other 10% percent of the time I am checking my stocks or doing non related gambling things(no-not porn lol).
The only rationalization I have is that I have been retired for 4 years, which allows me the time to spend on the internet, BUT which also allows me other time to do other things-going out to eat, shopping, vacations, relaxing etc.
As stated though, my wife thinks that the internet rules my life, and in all honesty she is probably right to some degree,
HOWEVER, I LOVE the internet and forums like this, and better to spend time here than to do something else-like drinking, drugs, overeating, chasing other women ,etc.
Also, I honestly feel that by hanging out, reading and posting and hanging out with folks much younger than me, it keeps me young and my mind active and sharp.
Anyways, thats my answer-I hope a few more of you come through and tell us about your own addiction ot the internet if you have one.

Chunger-those Firebird days were a special time in my life and bring back lots of fond memories.
I suppose when I am past 90 and perhaps unable to see and/or use the internet, I will refer to the internet days in a similar manner.
Now if I can just get my wife to see/ understand that the internet isn't all that bad, well lets just say it will make things better.
ps She uses the internet but at a tiny fraction of the time I do.

Call it what you want a hobby-- a passion--an addiction--when you come home and things aren't all that great--something created that. I don't think you meet someone and all of a sudden you keep going to the computer for any other reason to get out of your wife's face-- girlfriends or whatever--me I didn't want to watch the stupid reality crap on TV American idol etc...I think if I had someone that gave a fuck I wouldn't be here so much--
