  • The Official "Will A-rod Opt Out" Thread

Ok folks.... Here it is, One game away from elimination and is 0 fer in the series so far again. There are a few things that can happen here... Give me your opinions?

    1. Yankees extend a contract out to him for $25 million a year

    2. Arod doesn't opt out and continues his 3 years with yankees

    3. Arod Opts out and goes to another team

    4. Which team will he go to

P.S. This is not a copy and paste

Yeah, for just an obscene amount.

If Cuban is the owner there is no amount too high.

No doubt he opts out...can't wait to see him come to bat when they are down 5-3 tomorrow in the 7th with runners on and he GIDP. He will get run out of town and won't have to worry about opting out.

Red Sox, Cubs or Angels. I think LAA is the safe bet. 6 yrs/$200 million.

Angles should be the favorite in this one....followed by the Cubs.

I just don't see him going to the Red Sox anymore.

If Mike Lowell wants a deal beyond 2 years, Boston will let him walk. If he does, you can bet your ass Boston will be in the mix for A-Rod. Lowell and Clement gone would mean $18.5 million off the books. Schilling's contract expires too for another $13 Million. Having the money to sign A-Rod would be a piece of cake.

Im still split on this one.. One half of me says he is going to stay with the Yanks.. The other half says he opts out. IMO IF he leaves and go to a AL team it will be the Angels.. IF he leaves and goes to the NL it will be the Cubs.. Im going ahead and saying this.. Both Arod and Jeter are my favorite players.. Whatever team he goes to IF he leaves will be my 2nd fav. team behind the Yanks unless he goes to the Red Sux that is (which I just dont see the Yanks letting him leave to go there)

The Yanks have about as much of a chance of stopping A-Rod from going to Boston, as the Red Sox did with Damon. If he opts out, the Yanks have no fucken say!

that's very true....it's not like they are putting him on waivers.
