  • Am I the only one who is Loving the Yanks this afternoon?

Yanks faced tough hard throwing lefty Sabathia in game 1. They typically dont far well against lefties and now they face a juicy righty. I know Carmona put up great regular season #'s but dont know if he has ever pitched in the post season and the Yanks CLOBBER righties. Ill take the veteran Pettitte IN A PLAYOFF GAME over a 24 year old anyday....

SOBER SINCE MARCH 28TH OF 2007!!!

He is only 24 and is making his first playoff appearance (I think). I feel he will choke being intimidated by the Yankees knowing that its the playoffs and how huge it is....Pettitte has probably played in more playoff games than Carmona has been alive. Carmona should choke under pressure this afternoon IMO....

Myself, I am continuing to roll with the Tribe. Carmona gets to start at home, which should ease some of the playoff pressure. And let's face it, who is the pressure really on? The $200M Yanks, who haven't won a WS since 2000, are only -123 with playoff legend Pettitte on the rubber. Sounds like a sucker bet to me.

          Go Tribe
You can't always get what you want, but if you try some time, you might find, you get what you need.

Chad---you have a point with Carmona---he has faced the Yanks 16 innings and has given up 7 earned runs. Pettite and Carmona stats are pretty close although Carmona has a 3.06 era to Pettittes 4.05---IMO this is a pitching dual as both pitchers finshed like 6-2 over the last two months of the season....I am taking Cleveland because they are at home and I feel Carmona can compete at home against the Yanks who have all the pressure on them today.

Go with your gut Chado! I'm playing Clev +1.5 VERY SMALL.

Your Gut has done well for you. The game will be close. I just wouldn't bet all your hockey winnings on the Yanks.

Personally I would just love to see the Yanks go down in flames:-)

That's all the incentive I need!!

                            Good Luck!!

I would take the Yankees, but in all fairness I was dead wrong about Cleveland being lucky to win one game in this series let alone the wailing they gave the the Yankees in game 1.
As a Sox fan I want Cleveland to win, as any Sox fan would, not that it guarantees Sox will win if two teams should meet.
