Not really. Philly is 7-4 over their last 11, which is winning baseball, but nothing compared to the 14 out of 15 the Rockies have ripped off. Sure, they won the division and they're in the LDS, but their playoff berth was gift wrapped to them by that meltdown from the Mets. The Rockies went out and took it from the Padres, the Phillies just backed in. Hardly Destiny....

While the Mets did choke and went 5-12 L17, the Phillies went 13-4 over that same strecth so I'm sorry, but they didn't back in. If you watched as many games as I did this year (about 155 of them), you would realize how many times they came back to win (46 to be exact) so yes, while they didn't go 14-1 over the L15, no reason to say they're not possibly a team of destiny. Time to get out of your Yankee bubble and realize the truth.

PS Backing in happens when a team makes the playoffs even though they sucked over the final weeks of a season and get lucky to get in.

These teams played 7 times in '07. 6-0-1 OVER ,and never was the total less than 10. Highest scoring park with top 2 scoring teams, and now set at 9?

Very suspicious, at best. Phi #2 in Overs for ML this year. Granted, playoffs are different, and the weird start time causes concern, but can one confidently play UNDER here? Unless the fact that it is lower than all year long, and a fear of Vegas smarts creates doubt.

Over or no play, IMO. But small. Two bad pens, a 4-4 game is not out of the question.
