You just have to take a high shot on a pitcher coming up from AAA with this:
Acquired from Texas on March 18, 2002, Duchscherer was called up after going 14-2 with a 3.25 ERA in 24 games, including 23 starts, at Triple-A Sacramento. The 25-year-old right-hander struck out 117 and walked only 18 in 155 innings while earning Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Year honors.

The Angels emergency starter from AAA for Ortiz on emergency leave...
The 24-year-old right-hander is taking the rotation spot of Ramon Ortiz, who is on bereavement leave. Bootcheck was called up on Friday from Triple-A Salt Lake of the PCL, where he was 8-9 with a 4.25 ERA.
If the kid has to "check his boots" all the time he must not be a gold glover either!!
Plus Oakland HAS TO HAVE THIS GAME after dropping 5 of 6.....look for them to batter the Angels Right Hander whom they love to hit vs lefties>>>
