  • Texans @ FALCONS

This game lines up to be a complete statistical mismatch. My NFL Excel program has the Texans a 10.5 point fave with a Relative PR DIF Surplus of +18, the highest in the League. Total Mismatch, but only 3 games into the season, I can't give it GOM or GOY status. If it were week 6 or 7 with these same numbers, it's a HUGE PLAY. Then again, by the time week 6 or 7 rolls around, this same matchup would probably see the Texans -6 or -7 and their Surplus would not be as high.

Texans are very thin on offense. Top 3 receivers out, top RB is out.

Be careful with this one, as Texans still historically terrible , on road, on road turf, as road fave, as fave, etc.

If this game were last week, I would like Texans, but they have serious injury problems, and are not very deep.

    Just my $.02
You can't always get what you want, but if you try some time, you might find, you get what you need.

I had Andre Johnson in my Fantasy Football and couldn't wait till this matchup. Now he's out but Texans still should roll.D Hall will get burned no matter who is on the field. Also, remember the Falcons traded Schaub thinking Vick was innocent plus his family live about 20 miles from the GA Dome.He might just have a chip on his shoulder.

I keep hearing everyone say take the Texans, I'm really not feeling that. The Falcons will win a few games this year, and they'll always be at a statistical mismatch, because they're one of the worst teams in the NFL, but IMO they win this game. Good luck

I think the biggest "Intangible" in this game HAS TO BE Matt Schaub coming back to Atlanta.

You can bet your ASS that he wants to show them it was a mistake letting him go. You can also bet that his teammates are 100% behind him in knowing he wants this game badly. With that said, i see plenty of motivation for the Texans this week. Add to that, you have a guy on the other side named Harrington who absolutely SUCKS (IMO)!

With Andre Johnson, Jacoby Jones, and Ahman Green, this would be a different game. Harrington has played alright 361 yards 2 td's and no picks last week. They hung with Jacksonville on the road the week before that.

I have to disagree with you Wayne! Ha ha

But seriously, I agree with Weiner. The Texns have some serious injury problems.

The Falcon's are winless and Harrington is coming off his best game of his career. Over 350 yards passing.

Who has the advantage? Schaub, who is returning against his former team, or his former team who played defense against in practices and knows his tendancies? That can certainly be debated I guess.

The Texan's are coming off a tough loss and now take to the road....Falcon's by 3

I don't think it matters that much. They almost beat the Colts without them and all it does imo is deflate the line for me!

Injuries are disected too often. It will still be 11 on 11 come Sunday and the team that wants it more will win!

If the Falcons have any heart, they'll win this game. If DeAngelo Hall and the rest of the rats jump ship, it could get ugly. Jerious Norwood should get 30 carries in this game.

True, but there were at least 6 injuries to starters last week for the Texans. That's pretty significant. IMO

Who will want it more, the team that's 0-3, or the team that's 2-1 that just had a tough beat down at home? The Falcon's will want to prove that trading Schaub was the right thing at the time. Should be interesting.
