Can you take two big favorites in baseball and parlay them ..then take the dogs for a lessor amount and still make it work to make a profit?? or not risk as much lets say you took Boston and the mets tonight for 1,000 parlay could you still take the Cards and Twins for a lessor amount and make it work?? I dont think you can but wanted to ask for sure?

Basically you would have to hope for both favorites or both dogs to win to really make money. The only way I can think of playing it will just cut your losses by a tad if one dog and one favorite win.
If you feel that either dog could win, either dont bet it for as much or do two parlays with 1 fav and 1 dog for a lesser amount. FrankB is real good at figuring all this out. I can not come up with a situation where you can definately come out with some money on this one.NFL System - Year 1

This is at Bookmaker
Bos -260 Minn +220
Mets -235 Cards +195
Parlay them: $100 to win 97.38
If you bet the dogs $100 each:
Scenerio 1: If Minn and Mets
You win + $220
You lose the parlay -$100
You lose Cards bet -$100
You made $20
Scenerio 2: Bos and Mets win
You lose $200 but win $97.38
You loss -$102.62
Scenerio 3: Minn and Cards Win (this is your best case)
+$200 and +$195 = $395
Loss parlay = -$100
Net profit: $295
IMO, the best way to play is just to play both dogs and hope one is the winner. Then you profit. But you have to think that not easy for dog this big to win. But in baseball, this do happen quite often.
