The Aztecs running game was less than spectacular against Portland State's defense. SDSU turned in a pedestrian 122 rushing yards on 37 attempts for a 3.7-yard average. It did score a pair of TDs, but leading ball-carrier Brandon Bornes averaged only 2.2 yards.

ROSTER REPORT
OL Brandyn Dombrowski, who missed the first two games of the season because of an academic issue, was cleared to return to school. He did not start on Sept. 22 but played.

TE Steve Schmidt played despite a hip pointer that limited him during practice. He had a pair of receptions for 29 yards.

WR Chaz Schillens did not play because of a bruised foot. He's awaiting the results of a bone scan to see whether the foot has any structural damage.

LB Brett Martin left the game with an apparent knee injury in the second quarter and did not return.
