Fading the public and the sucker bets is not my capping style. After I cap the games I trust my capping before I trust Joe Public's lack of capping skill. I've won and lost my share of sucker games.

You like Chicago and New Orleans. My preliminary capping has a play on both.
Frank , you are on new orleans and chicago? I thought I saw above that you lieke the other side on those two games.

I agree but some people bet blindy without capping when things look "too easy" . They were on the saints this week because they didnt think they would lose thier first two games and based new orleans strictly on what they did last year

You are correct. I like the other side on both those games. I like Dallas and Tenn.

          I agree 100%

Most of us know if it looks too easy it usually loses.

i really don't think dallas is a sucker bet.

my favorite sucker bets is when the 'public' (overused term, but for lack of a better word here) is on a dog. personally, i think tennessee and minnesota would be good fades, as they are 'fashionable' dogs. i was leaning towards san fran as being 'fashionable' as well.

            good info/discussion in this thread.

but as frank said- alot of this stuff is/can be matter of opinion.

i don't think one can be on/against 'sucker bets' blindly as it could be very costly.

i like the way greek uses research to solidify his plays/fades.

I agree with you and I have been on the heavy "square" side of things and won and lost.....I was on Cleveland last week basically because no one believed they had a shot at winning not the smartest way to cap but when 95% of the betting world is on one side and it looks too easy its usually not.....

Here are my top 6 to take and what people are thinking:
Chicago- How can they be favored without an offense
NO- Vince should have beaten the Colts and the Saints cant do anything
Atl- The Falcons cant do anything with Joey at the helm
Jax- They barely got by an awful Atl team and now they are on the road
Hou- Texans without Johnson don't stand a chance against Peyton
Phia- Eagles suck.....McNabb cant complete a pass and Westbrook is hurt

people always take favorites, they hate betting on what they perceive as the 'inferior' team. most of my friends are petrified to take points.

I think once the year gets going these are more in affect. This early in the year we still dont know about these teams.

Bears have looked just as bad as last year on O, and KC moved the ball on them more than I anticipated. They dont impress at all.

And yes, NO might be playing worse than expected, but no one really knows if they are going to be 6-10 or 10-6.

Still too many ?'s on all teams. Bout week 5 or 6 some sucker bets will be obvious.

Last year I said screw it and started betting 95% dogs in the NFL and only a few favs on teasers and made bank. Schwing.
