Chado's "HUGE - Sasquatch Bounce Back" CFL Pick for Saturday!!!
Well the CFL posted winners streak ended at 10 games last weekend with the heat cooling off as I went 1-2 and reality set in. Well cant win em all but still a great positive season I am putting together here. There is one game on the Canadian football field for Friday night and it is Calgary -7.5 @ Hamilton and I dont like either side of this spread so I am passing. With that being said, looking ahead to Saturday night there is a game I really like and it is a battle of the best in the West. After winning 5 in a row the Riders went on the road and lost the last 2 straight games and in embarassing fashion. They now return to home sweet home for a battle of the best in the West to face the Lions of British Columbia. The Lions sit in 1st place in the Western division with a 7-3-1 mark while the Riders sit in 2nd with a record of 7-4. These two teams have met twice previously this season and have split both of them with the road team winning each game. The Riders gave the Lions their first loss of the season back in Week 6 beating them 21-9 in B.C. which was nothing short of impressive as they held them to only 9 points on their home field which is amazing by CFL standards. In these two straight losses the Riders defense has given up a total of 79 points combined. This is not like the Riders defense at all. The Lions dont have the best offense but a strong defense so I think this is a great spot for the Riders defense to get back to form coming back home. I would expect a low scoring game with Riders defense shuting down a mediocre offense in the Lions. Mosaic Stadium will be absolutely rocking in Regina, Saskacthewan on Saturday night as this team needs to get back to the Grey Cup form they were looking like previous to these last two weeks. This is one of the hugest games of the season for the Riders and I would also expect a re-focused group, playing more disciplined and determined to get back in the win column.
