Don't look in the mirror Red Sox. That's the Yanks closing fast. After choking away last nights game the Red Sox can't be feeling good about their chances. If they choke away the division, in all likelihood they'll win the wild card, their performance in the playoffs will be very interesting.

It'll be an interesting weekend.

You can't be serious! Yes, it was a very difficult beat but last time I checked they have the best record in baseball so why would they not be confident? What would they not feel good about? beating the Yankees? It's about winning a WS, not beating the Yankees. Both teams make the playoffs and when the Sox win the division, the Yanks lose to LAA and it will be another short October for the Bronx Bombers.

IF the Sox blow the division IMO they'll have some doubt heading into the playoffs. Especially after blowing a 14 game lead. They are showing many kinks in their armor.

Who's to say the Yanks will face the Angels? Currently, the Angels and Indians have the same record. Only 2 1/2 behind the Sox.

Since the all star break the Yanks have the best record. They've closed the gap by 11 games.

Im not saying it will happen but im saying there is a chance that it will happen.. How many times have we all seen where the team with the "best Record" does not win the title?? I will be pissed but i'll also give the Yankees their due. Boston has had the best record in baseball for months. If they finish with the 2nd best in baseball and the team better is ny, props to them. Nobody is going to jump off bridges because we only had the 2nd or 3rd best record in baseball. I agree.. Honestly its kinda nice these past 4 games to see the Yanks beat Boston because lord knows Boston has busted our asses quite a few times this season and last..

I have come to the point where i can not stomach listening to that idiot Francona after the game. He is a marble mouth and he talks as if his players are the bravest guys in the world and says "i saw the look in his eyes and could not take him out"

Why not pitch bulcholtz? where is the plan b? just leave okijima in there........sometimes you have to pull a guy and he does not have it.

Also Varitek is awful with men on in a clutch situation.....either strikes out or hits into a double play

The fact that they have not lost the lead in the last 3 - 4 weeks that Manny has been out is amazing in itself. This lineup is not that great without him. Pitching and defense....
