Good win by the Tribe last night and both dogs ended up losing. Still made a little profit which is better than a little loss. Onto today.

Packers +2.5 My local still had them this high as of last night so I grabbed em. Line is going down with every indication that Eli will not start. This play is based on two things. 1 - A gut feeling that Eli is more hurt than he wants to admit. If he tries to play I will have wished I bet the under 8 or whatever Giants total wins this year. He is going to screw himself by trying to gut it out. 2 - The Packers D is actually a lot better than in recent years and they still have Brett Favre. Favre might not be top 4 or 5 in the league now, but I would take him against this D that surrendered 346 passing yards to Tony Romo last week with their #2 receiver out. Long day for the Gints this week.

Arizona - Webb -154 This is going to climb so hop on it now. Last night's little hiccup against San Fran will not continue tonight. The light hitting Giants will not score many against last year's Cy Young winner. D'Backs get it done tonight.
Atlanta - Smoltz -105 This is do or die for Atlanta. Only 17 games left and they need to win tonight to creep to a whopping 7.5 games back in the NL East and hopefully gain a game on the Padres in whe wild card. They are all must wins for Atlanta now and I look for last night to carry over into tonight hitting wise. I have a feeling Chipper will be back in the lineup tonight and that only bodes well for Atlanta as he is a Met Killer.

Los Angeles - Lowe -130 After taking a pounding last night, the Dodgers need a long outing tonight from Lowe and they will get it. Germano was a first half sensation I almost bought into. Lately he has shown that the long season can wear on a young arm and he has not been as strong. Germano is 4-3 on the road this season, but he has not won in his last four road starts, and he has a 7.36 ERA during that stretch. The right-hander is 0-3 with a 7.16 ERA in three starts and one relief appearance against the Dodgers. He is 0-2 with a 4.26 ERA in two starts this season.
This would be a higher play if Lowe did not get hit on the pitching hand last night by Broxton while throwing in the outfield. This is a must pitch play. If Lowe gets scratched it is a no play.
