Good luck everyone this season!
5* PIT ML -220 -- (I mean to win 5*)
CLE might be a good candidate for an upset later in the season with Quinn at the helm, but Frye will be lucky to survive this one. I think Roethlisberger shows us the lingering effects of the accident were to blame for a poor 2006. Yes, I am a homer, but Willie is a beast and CLE is possibly the worst team in the NFL.
1* DEN -3
DEN matches up great against BUF. Losman really came on at the end of last year, but his only real receiving threat is Evans. Champ shuts down Evans. The ground game will be little help with the rookie Lynch against a stout DEN defense. He is probably good for a couple missed blocking assignments and possibly a DEN defensive touchdown. BUF can't stop the run and lost several key veteran members of the defense. Henry is no stranger to Ralph Wilson stadium.
1* 6pt Teaser ATL/MIN Under 41.5 -- NYG/DAL Over 38
Going into the season, I see MIN unders and NYG overs as strong totals plays for the season.
DAL has a few defensive injuries and from what all the experts say the Giants can't cover anyone. These teams scored 58 and 43 in the two meetings last year.
Harrington and Jackson at QB with no receivers. Coupled with the fact you can't run at all on MINN. Maybe the under on the ATL team total (16) is a better play. I will bet against both of these offenses until they show me otherwise.
