A 1 point play in CFL is called a rouge......

It is credited in two ways.....

1.) A team punts the ball out of the back of the endzone or the receiver is tackled prior to getting fully out of the endone in the return

2.) A team kicks a FG and misses it but it goes completely out of the endzone or the returner is tackled prior to getting fully out of the endzone.....

PS - Sometimes a returner will concede the rouge as opposed to taking it out of the endzone because they automatically will start the drive at the 35 yard line as opposed to not giving up the point and bringing it out of the endzone to lets say the 7 or 16 or something like that.....they give up the point and get great field position type thing....

No it is not US Sportscentre aired on this channel is a Canadian version of it and the highlights/interviews/analysis are primarily about CFL and NHL....all summer it focuses on MLB and it does talk a lot about NFL too....but mainly NHL once the season starts....
