I not only agree, I think Notre Dame is much worse than people think. Weis is now saddled with Willingham's last two recruiting classes as being the current upperclassmen. It may be a long year.
As for Paterno, he's gotten crotchitier in his old age and is now willing to run up scores. (He never used to do it).
