Good luck, shorty. I don't have any primary data to refute the superbowl winner/1st game trend you cite. I did, however, see a discussion on another forum where the stat was shared that the SB winners were 5-0-1 ATS in their first games the following season during the last 6 years. It may be the superbowl loser that doesn't cover their next game. Like I said, this is secondary information so maybe someone can check it out. I was going to see if I could find it in the Donbest archives but apparently Donbest requires a subscription now.
