The 4th winner in a row hit against last night with the Argos. Toronto was winning 13-12 with 7 seconds left when Bombers FG kicker Rob Pikula nailed a 28 yard game winning field goal and they won the game by 2 points. The Argos almost won outright as 6-7 point underdogs. Hoping to keep things going with the winning streak tonight and bring it to five in a row. There is one game on the Canadian football field for Saturday night and I like this selection:
296 Montreal Alouettes -7.0 (-105) (1 unit ) STARTS @ 7:00 PM EST
The Hamilton Tiger Cats (1-6) travel to Montreal this evening to face the Alouettes of Montreal (4-3). These two teams met back in week 3 in Hamilton and the Als won 29-20 on the road. Montreal started the season 1-3 but has since won 3 straight games and is beginning to look somewhat like the team that made it to the finals last year. The combination of QB Anthony Calvillo and WR Ben Cahoon has been absolutely leathel lately. Also their RB Jarrett Payton, son of former NFL great Walter Payton, has 301 yards rushing in his last three games. The offense in Montreal is starting to come around at the right time in the season. The difference between Montreal and Hamilton is that Montreal's young talent is really starting to mature at a faster pace than the Ticats. The Alouettes are younger, faster and in many ways hungrier than last year. Hamilton has scored a league-low 130 points in seven games, while Montreal has the CFL's second-best defence with 146 points allowed. The Ticats' offensive woes stem mainly from injuries and inexperience on the line, an area Als "sack specialist" Anwar Stewart said the Alouettes will try to exploit to get quarterback Jason Mass off his rhythm. Hamilton is also the second-most penalized team in the league and their head coach Charlie Taaffe said penalties, particularly on special teams, have left his side in poor field position too often. Even though the Ti-Cats have been playing better lately I would not expect this game to very close. The Alouettes should win this one by double digits at home!!!
AS ALWAYS, GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!
