Here is the post from a red sox fan on another site..

Thats 3 losses for Matsuzaka against the Rays this year. Has anyone else EVER lost to them 3 times in one year before? 2 of the 3 losses can be blamed on a lack of offense. Oh well, just venting I suppose. Just cant believe we paid this guy 100 million dollars and he cant even beat the Tampa Bay DRays.

At least we picked up 1 game on the Yankees, I'd love to pickup 1 more but I think we'll split with the Pale Hose and the Yanks will split with the Tigers, so we'll head into the stadium with a 5 game lead.

As far as the series goes with the Yankees, I always get worried when our manager tries to line-up our best starters to face a team. If we lose 2 of 3, or God forbid, get swept, you give all kinds of confidence to the Yanks and their fans, and demoralize your own troops. If we take 1 of 3 I'll be happy, 2 of 3 and I'll be pretty stoked.

What are everyone's thoughts on the upcoming 2 series?

Let me get the post and i will copy and paste it here.. Just seems funny how all of the Red Sox fans are so uptight these days.. You had a 14-16 game lead you were all sitting there all calm cool and collective and now that the lead is down to 5 games and still have 6 with the yanks and you all know anything can happen in that series your quick to jump on anything and everything.. And to 3Jack.. When I posted this yes I was doing it because i knew for a fact that the Yanks are under the skin of all Boston fans and espically under the "Kool Aid" Nation bandleader wayne but after I read what some Red Sox fans are saying about Flop K I knew it wasnt only me that was thinking the same things.. Is he a good picher?? YES.. Is he worth 100 million bucks?? HELL NO.
There is one MAJOR flaw with your post and perception that they paid $100 million for a 13-10 pitcher. And that is that they paid $100 million for five years, not $100 million for one year. You are making a rush to judgment to say that this is what you are going to get for 4 more years. I guarantee you if he pitches like this every year, he will be well worth it over the life of the contract. Despite a couple of shaky starts, name one pitcher that doesn't have them, he has been as solid as they come and very consistent.

They are paying $20 million for this year, not 13-10...and that is a better investment than that .500 pitcher the Yankees are paying for!

I agree somewhat.. Like i said in the previous post.. When I first made this post I was doing it to get a kick out of what Boston fans had to say because they seem really uptight all the sudden.. And like i said.. Is he a good pitcher?? YES.. Is he worth 100 million?? NOT RIGHT NOW IMO..

It's your opinion and you are entitled to it. He has pitched about as well as you would expect. Doesn't show in the wins and losses but he has been very good and, at times, dominating.

I'd pay him $100 million to be on the Mets....

He certainly isn't going to win a job as a MLB Scout anytime soon if he thinks Dice-K sucks!

They may have if they knew what Boston did. I'm pretty sure they bid almost 30 million just to "Talk" to him though.

Mets bid $39 million, NYY bid close to $36.
