I agree...where are all the guys who said we were stupid to think the fix was in on a lot of games.

This shit happens in college too, especially where the fucking spreads are so big. I feel it's players in college though. like I have said, when long beach is laying 15 to san diego U, you think the point guard doesn't turn the ball over a few extra times in the last two minutes to win by only 9???? come on???
    $100/unit

    They are all booger eaters!!!

Not questioning you at all and your comments...Just wondering what the reasons are.
in my opinion games are watched by alot of folks just because they have money on a game.If the tv revenue is hurt then how can u pay that type of money tothe players. The owners and Vegas are going to be taking the loss.Just think how many people will not bet NBA now.I have always heard people say all u have to watch is the last 5 minutes.Think about the NCAA TOURNEY ALOT OF CASUAL FANS ONLY WATCH BECAUSE OF OFFICE POOLS.TAKE HE GAMBLING ASPECT AWAY AND YOU WILL LOSE ALOT OF VIEWERS.WHOKNOWS I COULD BE WRONG JUST MY OPINION.

Thought I would take a moment to spout off about the current situation facing the NBA. First, I want to say that the league has become something that I have trouble being a fan of. It's like the show on ESPN Street Jam or whatever it is, and few of the current players have any skills. Hell, look at the USA's recent performances in international competitions....it's pathetic. The NBA was once a shining star that was on it's way to rivaling the NFL in popularity, now it's garbage that few want to even look at.

After the revelations that Donaghy will reveal names of referees who gamble, I feel it's time for David Stern to step aside. I mean really, he had the gaul to proclaim that this was an "isolated incident" when even people with down's syndrome could sense that the situation stank. Stern has long tried to portray this league as something to be proud of, and that under his "leadership" the game has become better....I say hogwash. The league has gone downhill during his tenure, particularly the integrity of the game. I feel to cleanse the league of the image that is currently being displayed he must step aside and allow a new regime to go forward.

Donaghy got caught because of FBI wiretaps on mobsters, if not for that his literal whistle blowing (to make games go OVER the total) would never have been discovered. Donaghy was considered a top echelon ref for goodness sake, and he is fixing games. How can Stern stand tall when he himself had no idea, and certainly no control over the vital integrity of competitive fair games. Without the integrity of competition, the NBA has nothing left.

They can have their league, and their low grade quality of play and stuff it where the sun doesn't shine...I for one have put the NBA on "indefinite suspension", and until Stern takes the long walk it has no chance of reinstatement.

Nothing in any of these articles says that there are 20 referees on the take.

Everything i've heard says that he will name 20 refs involved in gambling. Betting on sports, casino gambling, wagering on golf matches, etc.

No one knows how many (if any at all) are involved in fixing NBA games.
