Well Boston forgot to play for 7 innings yesterday. It happens no big deal. Onto today.
10 Units - I have had my Underdog and Regular GOY already. This is as big a play as either of those if I had not used those titles already. I do not want to be in the habit of making 3 GOYs when there should only be 1 at the most. To me this is just as big a play as the others.
Oakland - Haren -140 While Ozzie Guillen is still trying as a manager, I do not see the White Sox as a team that still wants to compete. Javier Vasquez has not been awful this year but has not been brilliant either. I thought Jermaine Dye would try to help resurrect this team after the break to a respectful finish, but that does not seem to be happening. The White Sox are done.
"Another day in the Coliseum," White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said. "Every time we come here I feel like we're facing Cy Young, (Johan) Santana, (Roger) Clemens and Nolan Ryan all together. Every time we come here our offense struggles to get big hits and get going."
Javier Vasquez is 0-2 with a 7.50 era walking 10 and giving up 4 homers in 18 innings while pitching at Oakland. Haren is 0-1 with a 5.56 era against Chicago lifetime, but he is enjoying his best season so far. He has been dominant for the better part of the year and I see no reason why he does not continue that today.
