Streaking Pitchers

Hot
Daniel Cabrera (Baltimore Orioles) - All the work with Orioles pitching coach Leo Mazzone finally appears to be paying off for the young righty. Cabrera is 2-1 over his last three starts with a stellar 2.25 ERA for the Orioles, who are -118 home favorites tonight against the Seattle Mariners. While Cabrera's 11 walks over his last 20 innings are cause for concern, Cabrera has allowed only 11 hits (no gopher balls) over the same span.
Tim Hudson (Atlanta Braves) - It's rare the New York Mets are listed as home underdogs, but that's exactly what they are with Hudson taking the mound for the Braves today. Hudson hasn't lost a start for the Braves since June 19 and he's 6-0 over his last eight outings with a miniscule 1.19 ERA since July 20. Unbelievably, Hudson has surrendered just one home run over his last 10 starts and only four on the season. Books have Atlanta as -113 favorites today at Shea Stadium.
Cold
Ian Snell (Pittsburgh Pirates) - Some analysts wondered why manager Tony LaRussa didn't name Snell to the NL All-Star team but now we can see why he left Snell on the outside looking in. Snell has dropped five straight paydays for the Bucs, +120 underdogs tonight against the Arizona Diamondbacks. With a 9.00 ERA over his last three trips to the hill and a whopping .452 OBP against over the skid, it's easy to see why Snell hasn't been profitable for Pirates bettors lately.
Jeremy Bonderman (Detroit Tigers) - Bonderman might be the coldest pitcher in the game at the moment. The Washington native is 0-3 since July 20 with a stiff 11.57 ERA. Bonderman's problem is that's he's allowing too many hits with 27 over his last 16 innings. Oddsmakers have Bonderman's Tigers as -137 favorites today against Scott Kazmir and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
