  • No Hard Feelings: Ambrose to drive Cup car for Robby Gordon at the Glen

Robby Gordon will exact his revenge at Watkins Glen this weekend.

Not only will Gordon be racing the No. 7 Ford, the team owner will field a second car — the No. 77 — for Busch Series regular Marcos Ambrose, who he fiercely battled in the closing laps of the NAPA Auto Parts 200 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on Saturday.
"Marcos did a helluva job," Gordon said. "He led a lot of laps on Saturday. It will be great to have him as my teammate."

Ambrose, who drives the No. 59 Kingsford Ford for Wood Brothers/JTG Racing, qualified fifth and led the most laps before Gordon spun him out with two laps remaining in the event. Ambrose finished seventh and is currently eighth in the Busch Series point standings.

If he qualifies for the race, Sunday will mark the Nextel Cup debut for the 30-year-old Launceston, Tasmania native who began his career in NASCAR with the Wood Brothers last season.

I use to not like robbie but after what he did Saturday and now letting Ambrose drive his busch car I guess my opinion can change. You have to admit it was funny whe he was doing burnouts with Harvick.

A friend of mine told me he tried to beat Harvick to Victory Lane also. Can you imagine his car there and harvick couldn't get in.That is what Nascar is all about. They are trying to be so hard on these guys that they are losing alot of hardcore fans.I dont know how it is in OK. but we have some great short tracks here in GA. where you will here all the drivers say BULLSHIT and most will be fighting by the end of the night.Nascar is taking the passion out.If I was Tony Stewart I would have a NO COMMENT sign in my car and every time I got out I would hold it up and walk. They want to know how they feel but penalize them when they tell it.Sorry for the rant but Im sure you understand.

Definitely man. I knew when they fined and docked points from Jr at Dega' in 04' that it was a bad sign.
