I'm perfect this year (on a measly three plays) on favorites and only play small faves I really love. This one fits the category. Milwaukee melted down yesterday in the kind of loss that carries over on a team. They blew a 6-1 lead in the bottom of the ninth inning on a combination of poor relief pitching and choke-style fielding. The Brewers are much worse than people believe. They opened the season 24-10 and are only 36-42 since then. That's six games under .500 over nearly half a season. Further, they are the most schizoid team in baseball with a terrible 21-32 road record. Tonight's starter, Vargas, has a good record but only because they score a lot of runs for him. He's only pitched past the sixth inning once and that's important because Milwaukee used seven pitchers in yesterday's meltdown. Colorado is a decent team and Fogg has been pitching very well. The Rockies are 30-21 at home.
Opinion only: Cards/Padres OVER (two pitchers in terrible form)
