Just thought I would post these now for everyone as I have already finished capping the games so why the hell not....
There are 2 games on the Canadian football field for Thursday night and I like these selections:
451 Toronto Argonauts +4.0 (-105) (1 unit ) STARTS @ 7:30 PM EST
Well, well, well. The rematch of last week huh. The Argos have serious issues at the QB position right now so it wasn't entirely unexpected when Clemons, an admitted non-morning type of guy, revealed he was in the trailers at the Argonauts practice facility at Erindale College Monday morning at 6 a.m. poring over game tape. Coach Clemens named his starting quarterback Damon Allen over a struggling Mike McMahon and decided John Avery will get another start at running back after a 105-yard game on the ground in the loss, Clemons dissected the game play by play. The Mike McMahon interception which lead to 7 Allouette points, and the Brian Bratton punt return which produced 7 points, were prime plays which resulted in the loss for the Argos. The game was a lot closer than the 26-13 final indicated. Now the Argos travel to Montreal to face the Als in a second game of the home and home. This game presents an almost must win situation if the Argos are to get back into contention with the Bombers in the East. A team that started out a respectful 2-1 now finds themselves at 2-3 and trying everything possible to avoid a 2-4 start to the season that could cause a ton of worry for their playoff hopes. I would expect Toronto to come out with a positive attitude and a sense of desparation on Thursday night. Taking the 4 points is value here as this game will be close and the Argos should win this one straight up!!!
WINNER!!!
453 Saskatchewan Rough Riders +4.5 (-105) (1 unit ) STARTS @ 10:30 PM EST
nother rematch game, gotta love it. The Sakatchewan Rough Riders absoultely destroyed the Edmonton Eskimos last week by 40 points (54-14) and now have a rematch vs. the B.C. Lions whom which they lost to in week 3. Also the 42-14 score in week 3 was when the Lions had their star QB Dave Dickinson in the line up and now having to go to Buck Pierce and Jarious Jackson changes things immensely. The Lions are the CFL's only unbeaten team @ 5-0 on the season and it has to end sometime. Even though the Riders lost by 30 in week 3 it was because they had a disgusting 8 turnovers. What must also be noted is that the Riders defense held the Lions to ONLY 160 yards of offense (and that was with Dickinson) so if there is any team that is more than capable of giving the Lions their first loss of the season it is definately the Riders. Also, B.C. is badly beaten up in the secondary as a total of 3 starters may not play on Thursday evening. With all that being said another underdog barking here and taking the 4.5 points as I expect the Riders to make a great game out of this and maybe win outright!!!
