San Diego - Peavy -154 I am not a big Houston fan in the least as I just do not like their squad much. Biggio is obviously not the same player he was and is not a very good leadoff hitter anymore. Pence is injured and he was a sparkplug to that team. Outside of Carlos Lee and Berkman, the only other threat is Luke Scott and he is not a power threat as much as the other two. San Diego is equally as weak offensively, but the edge in starting pitchers is uncanny. Woody Williams is a bum and he proves it tonight as San Diego hits him hard.

Baltimore - Guthrie +130 Yes I know I am picking Baltimore to win on back to back days, but the Yankees had their hot streak halted by a guy who honestly had no right doing that to them. DeLaRosa is a very very hittable guy and the Yankees could not touch him. Tonight they resume the 1st game and play this second contest. To have to go against Guthrie for them is going to be tough. I thought this kid would fade in the 2nd half. Boy was I wrong. He has been just as good as he was and Pettitte is still just as old as he was. Tejada is expected to return and that guy is the spark this team needs to get going. They were lucky to survive without him and even if he struggles a bit tonight, his return brings them life and they beat the Yankees.
