You know, this dosen't look all that bad for something at 30-1.
I made all the parleys above for the same amount, $200. I'm not saying these are plays for anyone else, just seeing how long lucky streaks can or cannot last. It's really possible to make a lot of money with small parleys, when you are having a hot streak. The only problem is it's hard to have a lot of hot streaks.

I had $2 in my acct. before Sundays night baseball and had to make a $ 300 deposit to play a $300 parley. After last night my $300 was up to $6791, before I withdrew a bunch and none of my plays were for more than $300.

      The Late Games

Just for the record, I added these two parleys. It already looks like my luck is changing the wrong way because of Milwaukee.

      Arizona/Atlanta +213

      Arizona/Atlanta/Texas +540.

And that's how long this streak lasted, just two days. Now its back to reality. I ended up giving back a dime tonight, from the six I had won, so it's OK, althought had Atlanta won, then it would have been another very good day. The important thing to remember, for you guys that are somewhat new to this, is to not try and get back what I lost tonight, tomorrow. It was still a great couple of days and the thing to do now, is to cut back my plays until the next hot streak, whenever that may be. And that is not always easy to do.

I was happy for xjcx and he was smart keeping what he won today.

Playing parlays is tough way to make a living. Sandy is right if you are hot you can make some big $, but if you are not, the the $50, $100 etc wagers add up quick.

Today was a good example of how crazy playing parleys can be. I made 7 parley plays, all between $200 and $350 each and lost 6 of them, but still came out ahead. All it took was one $350 parley, a three team with Boston -107, Houston -120 and Oakland -119. It paid $1934 and none of the three teams were dogs. The six losers totaled $1500.

Sandy- I agree with Kapt- its how you play them. Parlays should be played when several strong games show up but not on a daily basis. You have had success with it as I have and you have to have the balls to throw out some money.

Here's a thought- maybe backing a parlay up (backdoor) by taking 2 of the teams and going against a 3rd that you played already.

Sandy- by playing against your original parlay- you have one less parlay combination to not worry about. (7 combinations now versus 8 in another parlay taken)

So lets see if the odds make sense.
If teams a/b play and you play "a"
c/d play and you play "c'
e/f play and you play "e"
                      in a parlay

Then a/c/f, a/d/e, and b/c/e are the next
criteria that can be played (even at a smaller value) but still winners.
I mostly have played this with 2 teams but I don't know why this would'nt also work.

With 3 combinations is 8 possible combinations of winners. That is why the payout is so good. That is poor percentage and out of 8 -you will hit one!
So out of the 7 parlays you played -you hit one and made money.
If so- then this presentation of playing 3 games specific and backdooring may work out better.

Just looking at parlay options and potential money making ideas.
Playing completely different games and not keying has a potential for more money or greater loss.
Potential for keying on one game has good potential and total loss if it doesn't come in.

Love dem parlays when I feel confident on at least 2 games. mix and match and i have seem people win big at times.
                      Good Luck Sandy

spearit. I read what you wrote about parleys and it could help if all I did was play parleys everyday, but since I"m playing with their money, I'm going to keep doing what I've been doing until I have a losing night. I know I'm on a good lucky streak, winning every night so far, starting with Sunday (Wed broke about even). Even if I lost all my plays tonight, I'm only giving back about 20% of my winnings this week. Still playing for the same amounts as past nights. I still have one more to make which will probally be a three teamer with Arizona, Oakland and San Francisco. It's going to be hard watching the Giants game, since I hate both them and Bonds.

                        Phillies/Boston/SF +352
                        Phillies/Boston/Cinc +455
                        Houston/Texas +426
                        Houston/Baltimore +448
                        Texas/Baltimore +781
                        Arizona/Oakland/SF +686 or
Just Arizona/Oakland +355 -- depends if top parley is still alive or not

I had the Texas/Baltimore payout wrong. It should be one half of +781, or +360.
