Underdog Game of the Month for Tuesday!

A very pathetic 1-2 day yesterday winning with the Cubs, but losing two games badly with the Dodgers and Twins. Can't seem to figure the Dodgers or Astros out this year. When you think they are playing bad they'll play good and vice versa. Have a very strong underdog tonight. So strong I'm calling it my underdog GOM. Granted we are early in September, but I may not find a stronger dog in my opinion.

Underdog GOM=Philadelphia Phillies/w Telemaco

Love the fact that they are a dog at home. Vasquez has been terrific as of late, but has had trouble with the Phils throughout his career. Terrible road team, and Philadelphia has beat them 6 out of 7 times at home this season.

my stats have Philly as the 23rd. team at home [ 2 weeks ago ] and the Expos the 20th team as a roady [ also ]

Granted that the Expos [ *who got screwed this year* ] are not going to kill anyone , this was a guttsy call as a GOTM , with Valasqez on the mound ?????

[ Expos players told thier union that they want to play all thier home games in one park [32-18 start] and not take those 3,732 mile trips again from San Juan to Seattle where they sucked [8-14] .... M.L.B. said " What we have done was field the most competitive team possible " ------ give me a break -----

All I can say is awesome call I was on the Expos when I left work today. Got home and say your GOY amd POBOY on the phils.

So I actually changed my play and won instead of losing.

I admit, I do take chances from time to time. The Philies were pretty fortunate to get the victory. Like I said before I have reasoning behind my games, I did post some for this game. I don't go strickly off stats though. In the past I did this often but realized a lot of those stats I could throw in the trash after the game. They do help and yes I do go off of them, but my overall analysis of a game is not soley based on statistics. Sometimes you get a feel, especially in baseball on how a team is playing. Also, at this time of the year there is many situations which occur due to pennant races etc... that can strengthen a lean on a specific team. Yes, I called it my underdog GOM, yes it won, but I'll agree with you it was a little risky. But hey, that's gambling right, taking chances.

By the way I'm much more pissed off about losing the Braves, and more than likely the Cubs, then winning the Underdog GOM.

Great to see you got on the Phillies. Hopefully, you ignored my other 2 losers. I just haven't hit a good run of baseball games in a while. I seem to be hitting a big play or 2 and dropping 4 other plays in the process. It seems to be getting harder to pick baseball the last couple of years. Maybe it's due to the parity in the league, or lack of pitching. Just seems this whole year I've had a hard time going on any winning streak, unlike the past where I would hit 6-10 games in a row at least once during the season, but not this year. Anyway, I'll always try my best for anyone on here that follows, it just doesn't always go as planned.

I too take risks from time to time and admire your " gutssy call " tonight , and my upmost to you for if nothing else [ taking the plunge ] on your personal feelings .

It takes all kinds to make a town ..... and just a few to raise it !

Anyway keep the chin-up and always duck when the eyes are closed , because our eyes are placed on the front of our heads for a reason ..... it is more important to look ahead because whats behind us no longer matters !
