Solid trends on both pitchers and Montague an unders umpire!

POD Under was a push last night.
          Played 7 instead of regular7 1/2
          - No problem - will get it tonight.

          1-0-1 on deese POD!

Going back to the well. Love Seattle against the Left-handed pitching of Bedard. bedard has been incredible his last 3 games but generally has trouble with the Mariners.

          Seattle -110

See Top of page for Trends. Jarrod Washburn (8-7, 3.85) looks to rebound after his personal three-game win streak was snapped in his last outing. Washburn was 3-0 with a 1.23 ERA in his previous three starts before allowing five runs and seven hits in six innings Friday in a 6-3 loss to Detroit. He walked three and struck out a season-high seven in his first loss since June 17 against Houston.

Washburn had a five-game win streak against the Orioles snapped with a 9-5 loss at Safeco Field on June 6. He is 6-2 with a 3.88 ERA in 10 starts against them.

POD for 7-19 is Scott Verplank over Sabbatini. 1st round

Sabby has taken the summer off and will be a bit rusty coming into a windy arena.
Verplank won this year beating out Luke Donald and presents a decent game for the Open.

              Possible pitching change.

FYI. I heard Bedard might be replaced by Cabrera.

Well undefeated in 3 trys. But a no play on Seattle - even though they won due to the change mentioned above- part of why you need to stay on top of the plays till the anthem is played.
Nevertheless I am still 1-0-1 which signals no losses yet. Today I have verplank who got out well and finished with a +1 score of 72. Sabbatini is currently +2 after 6 holes so if I have gauged this right - the winds should start picking up later in the round.

                From above

                      Thanx Chad and Joe.

Update- Sabbatini is +4 after 11 holes.

                        Alrighty- a -------------------winner
                        Sabbatini +5
                        Verplank +1

2-0-1 Now on POD's. Looking to see what matchup Sabby is in tomorrow! Sabbatino bogeyed the last 2 holes as well as 1-3-5-10

Now concerning the last 3 rounds of the British Open. Idea is to spot weaknesses and strength's.

                        July 18, 2007

Ernie Els News: Els used a new driver at the Scottish Open last week, where he finished third.
Notes: A breakthrough appears to be just around the corner for Els. Perhaps something will pop at this week's British Open, where he has a fantastic track record (five Top-3 finishes since 2000).

Phil Mickelson News: Mickelson has finished in the Top 10 just once in 14 British Open starts.
Notes: Even off last week's second-place finish at the Scottish Open, we're not bullish on Lefty's chances at his least-favorite major.

Stephen Ames News: Ames is in the field for this week's British Open.
Notes: Ames is coming off a tie for 10th at the U.S. Open and has made seven of his last eight cuts. He may not get you a top 10 this week, but he normally doesn't wilt at majors either, and can probably get you a pay check. In his last 17 majors, he's made 12 of 17 cuts, and three out of four at the British Open.

Mike Weir News: Weir is in the field for this week's British Open.
Notes: Weir says he feels better than in a long time and the results are starting to show. He's hit four top 20s in his last eight tournaments and is coming off his best PGA Tour event of the season with an eighth place finish at the ATandT National. On the season, he's made 12 of 14 cuts and typically plays well in majors, making 20 of 25 cuts since the 2001 U.S. Open and averaging $134,245 in that span. He's finished in a tie for 20th in both majors this year, making him a decent sneaky play this week.

                        July 17, 2007

Chad Campbell News: Campbell is in the field for this week's British Open.
Notes: Maybe the home of golf can revive Campbell's passive and struggling game. He's missed four out of his last eight cuts and has pocketed just $906,532 -- not exactly Ryder Cup material. Campbell has been pretty disappointing in his last seven majors as well. If you have a decent pool of alternatives to pull from, you may want to consider putting him on your bench this week.

Jose Maria Olazabal News: Olazabal withdrew from the British Open due to a knee injury.
Notes: He withdrew from the Scottish Open last week and has hardly swung a club since the U.S. Open. He may not be a factor the rest of the year.
                        July 16, 2007

Darren Clarke News: Clarke (hamstring) finished tied for 19th at the Scottish Open. He made the cut in an event for the first time in seven tries.
Notes: Clarke finally looks healthy heading into the British Open.

                          POD 7-20

                          2nd Round
Graeme McDowell (-125) over Rory Sabbatini

I don't mean to pick on Rory but he was very erratic with bogeys at 1-3-5-10- and the last 2 holes. His play is due to a lack of playing competively after some smart remarks aimed at Tiger!
This game is about your mental conditioning and what I saw from Rory only emphasizes that the correct bet here has been made!
Graham is picking up steam and is convincing a lot o'people that his standings of 118 on the tour is
a misdirected guess of his potential.
He shot a 72 in the first round and looks solid!

Thanx Chad- Mcdowell actually shot a +6 the first day- one behind Sabby. I saw a different score on another page. He double bogeyed on one hole. I am still on him.
