  • UFC anyone ???

hey guys going out tonight just wanted to post these now and I will be back with a write up on each later.

I have noticed that not too many people are into UFC on this site, nor boxing for that matter. Well I certainly would not say I specialize in it, but I do know a lot about it.

I am 6-2 in my last 8 fights mixing UFC and boxing, I will list the fighters later I just want to make sure I have correct lines on them first.

    UFC 73 7/7/07
Big play is 3* Sean Sherk - 240 VS Hermes Franca

Mild play is 2* Anderson Silva -160 VS Nate Marquardt

I have good info and stats on both fights I will be back with info..... gotta go eat first.
    MLB 4-1
    soccer 1-0
    overall 5-1

u really like evans over ortiz? rashaad is great on the ground, but he hasnt faced a guy that is just as good or better on the mat. he also hasnt faced anyone as tough. put this up for comparison:
evans should not have won the decision over stephan bonner. all evans did was tackle bonner to the ground and just stall out there. ortiz took out forrest griffin in a close but decisive win. what u think tony?

I just think ortiz's best days are behind him......i think it can go either way but i just think evans is the future and ortiz is the past......

also i try not to look at other matchups because styles make fights......i think world class wrestling wins here....not betting it

i hear what your sayin tony. the guys theyve fought is just one way im looking at it. ortiz is getting older, but evans hasnt really been tested yet. if he takes it to the ground ortiz is the best ground guy hes had to face so far. this is a make or brake fight for ortiz no doubt about it.

I am hear in Vegas now. We have this big Martial Arts Convention at the MGM.

Ortiz taught a class here last year the night before he fought Ken Shamrock. Hughes and Liddel are here also. They both taugh classes this year. Pretty cool guys. They will talk to you for ever.

I will ask them who they think will win tomorrow and hopefully get back and post for you guys.

Herme Franca trained with a school that is part of my Management group. You may see it (Premiere Martial Arts logo) tomorrow night when he comes in the ring. He is a tought guy and I think he may upset Shrek.

But my money for sure is on Ortiz and Silva.

herme franca is a tough guy, but in my estimation sherk is head and shoulders above anybody in that weight class.....i love kenny floria (i trained at a gym he trained at 3 years ago) and he dismantled him....Sherk is in the best shape of any MMA guy in any class and he is massive for that weight class......JMHO...

i jave met liddell and a few others and you are right.....they are all great guys

I completely understand your point about the juice. It may be stupid , but these days I pretend that there isn't a line. I strictly break down each fighter, their skills, and past wins and losses. Anything over 300 is too much for me, so after my personal opinion if the line is under 300 I usually take it.

I also like rashad evans at a pick em over ortiz. Could easily go either way but ,like you say evans is the future.

that would be great if you could get some professional opinions, only 2 hours till fight time though. you are right about franca, he is one tough cookie, I just think sherk is tougher. I am familiar with franca's skills, as a matter of fact he fights out of jupiter florida. well I don't live there anymore, I live 15 minutes away. Let's just say I went to jupiter high school. I understand that he poses a dangerous threat, but I don't think sherk will give him the openings he is looking for. I'm on silva, and I'm just going to root for rashad evans, too close to take for me.

                          soccer 1-0

It's easy to pick all favorites, with these picks you are almost assured to have a winning record by the end of the night. ! thing that is funny is I think Ken - Flo is an easy winner over robinson. The only way robinson wins in my opinion is if he is still hurt from the sherk fight.
