All joking aside, it is amazing how the guy can go from being a great hitter to a bag of trash in 18 months. And its not like he has to carry the team with guys like A-Rod and Jeter on it. He has been awful....

July 2, 2007 -- THE Yankees need Alex Rodriguez to be their Herschel Walker.

They need to convince their most alluring product to accept a trade and then turn Rodriguez into the kind of haul that transformed the Cowboys from also-rans to champions after dumping Walker on the Vikings.

Trading Arod won't work in baseball as it did with the Cowboys when they traded Walker. Dallas received a few 1st and 2nd round draft picks for Walker. They parlayed those picks into a few superstars. The baseball draft doesn't work like the football draft.
