  • MLB Wednesday Afternoon: Here we Go Again

    YTD 19-18 +6.36 units
    all plays 1*

    Faves 2-0 +2.0 units
    Dogs 161-16 +5.46 units
    Totals 1-2 -1.1 units

I won last night with the Tigers/Rangers OVER as Texas continues to score a shocking number of runs.

    1* Rangers/Tigers OVER 9 1/2
This line is one full run lower than last night's but the case for the over is at least as strong. Texas is on a remarkable offensive tear as I detailed last night. They've now scored 89 runs in their last 12 games including 44 in their last 5! They go with another iffy starter today in Millwood who has a whopping 8.28 ERA his last five starts. Detroit goes with elderly Kenny Rogers who makes his second start off the long layoff after pitching very well last time. He's vulnerable today. It's hard to imagine a better situation for an over than a team that is scoring lots of runs and sending out a pitcher who is getting shelled.

    Opinion only:
Rangers ( a huge dog that has now won six of its last seven but the total remains the much stronger play)

Good luck with the over today Gris. 161-16 is a pretty good dog record.

The game is rained out, so no play.

And, Garth, the dog record should be 16-16 which I contend IS pretty good for dogs.

Absolutely, you can make a nice little profit hitting 50% on dogs...or even a little less than 50%. So, 16-16 is very good.
