  • How do you remember a career?

    How do you remember someone?

Do you remember number 600 with Sosa as a Ranger against the cubs?

    or

Do you remeber that his first HR was as a Ranger off Roger Clemens in 1989?

Do you remember Roger Clemens 20+ wins as a Yankee or a Blue Jay?

    or

Do you remember his 24 wins and losing to the Mets in 1986?
    Week 1 (6/10) +6 units

Do you remember Bill Buckner's career #s, the .289 liftime average, or the infamous grounder through the wicket in '86 WS?
You can't always get what you want, but if you try some time, you might find, you get what you need.

Do you remember Robin Ventura's 18 Grand Slams , or the one that wasn't--in the '99 playoff game v Atlanta, the walk-off GS that went as a single, since the teammates mobbed him at first and only one player scored in a 4-3 win.

Or do you remember Ventura getting drilled by Nolan Ryan, then charging the mound and getting his ass kicked by the old man?

Do you remember Chuck for his 4.3 40, or when he tried out for the Steelers?

I remember the first Major League game ever played, a National Association contest between the Cleveland Forest Cities and Ft. Wayne Kekiongas on May 4, 1871

              D. White was at bat first and doubled.

I remember Sammy pretending not to speak English when it was convenient for him...too bad McGwire didn't have the same crutch to fall on.

That's how I remember him too...and walking out on his team on the last day of the season three years ago.
