Florida is mentally down due to the loss of Lowell, and Redman has been horrible lately as well as career wise vs. the Expos. Big biting dog today with the Expos. Look for them to salvage a game here in Florida.

If you'd listen to any sports radio or television shows you'd here how much the loss has affected them. Sure they are winning today, and if they hang on I'll face the music for releasing the Expos. But please don't write things when you have no idea what you're talking about. We're talking about their leader and the main cog in there offense throughout the year who is now finished in the middle of a pennant race. Some teams may rise for 1 game or 2, let's see for the next 30 games...peace

Hey Baseknock, when you start posting plays of your own as opposed to someone else's on a daily basis, then speak your mind. But until you get the balls to do that, keep your fucking mouth shut! I hate people that bash, especially people who don't post their own plays. We're all entitled to our own opinion, but when that opinion seems to be consistently bashing or throwing negatives around, no one wants to hear it. Post your plays for now on wise ass we'll see how you do.

Negative comments after the game is underway or is finished is pure bashing, and is cowardly aggression.

Negative opinions of a pick before the game starts is not bashing but simply an opposing opinion which everyone needs to consider. These we need.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I hate to sound so angry in my posts towards anyone. I just think certain times people should keep their comments to themselves. Sometimes there seems to be some short memories around here when people lose.

Jody, first of all, I follow and play your picks many times.
I have no stake in this argument, as I did not play the game and was unaware of the injury until it was mentioned;to be perfectly honest even if I had known about the injury prior to start of game.
From my many years of following and betting sports, I have learned that there is no predictable conclusion which can be drawn after a key player goes down for a game.
Sometimes as was stated, team will "rally" for a few games and sometimes even longer than that.
Other times, even if team wins for a short time, as you say, over tiem the injury will take its toll.
Conversely, as I am sure you are aware, there have been times when a team has played extremely well without a key player.
Sometimes, when the player returns, the team actually plays worse because strange as it seems the team is used to playing without the key player, and when he comes back it somehow disrupts the rhythm.
If things always played out the way they were supposed to, we would all be rich and there would be no betting because all of the bookies would be out of business.
