I lost an excruciating one on a +157 dog Tuesday as Oakland lost by one in eleven innings.
1* Yankees/Mets OVER 9
I wouldn't be surprised if Clemens gets hit tonight as he makes his second start off the long layoff. I'm also skeptical as to how long his elderly arm will hold up in this latest comeback. More importantly, the Yankees bats are on fire on this nine game winning streak. They've scored 67 runs in their last nine games and an astonishing 102 in their last 14 (that's an average of over SEVEN per game over a two week stretch!!). Oliver Perez' last few starts haven't been as impressive as those earlier in the season. The way the Yankees are going they could cover the total themselves.
1* Nationals +231
This number is just too huge to pass up on a rather hot team. Washington has won five of six and starter Bacsik is at least so-so. While Toronto is 8-3 in Halladay's starts he's been hot or cold with either a brilliant effort or getting shelled. If he's on, I lose. If he isn't, I have a chance at a whopping score on a team that's playing it's best baseball of the season.
