One game does not a season make.
So far, last night not withstanding he and Lugo(and Coco crisp) have been huge disappointments.
I am still amazed that this team has the record it does(happy though), as there are holes so far anyways as noted above, and considering Manny is not doing that well.
Thank god for the pitching and guys like Lowell, Youkilis and yes, Pedroia of late.
ps Hopefully, last night will be a turnaround night for Drew for remainder of the season.

A long, long time ago, he once refused to play for a franchise.

I hope he gets hit in the head with a battery!
Am I the longest tenured BC member?

i think coco and lugo have contributed in different ways and in big spots....i am not a huge crisp fan but he has made some great catches this year, is a good baserunner and has hit in some big spots.....i would love for him to get up to like .275

lugo is about 50 pts below his career avg and i think he will come around...he has 34 rbis and he is great on the bases....so the jury is still out for me on him.....

i have liked all our shortstops....cabrera, renteria, and gonzalez....i do not know why we got rid of any of them

but drew is tough to warm up to

It is sad that Cabrera is not still here;he contributed so much down the stretch in 2004, and of course he is from my wife's hometown, Cartagena, Colombia.

                  i loved cabrera too
i know he wanted alot of money, but then we got edgar renteria and he had a bad year and i do not think we gave him enough of a chance....look at his numbers before and after boston.....then gonzalez was just sick with the glove and hit nicely as well for us.....why did he go??? and now lugo who i know is papi's best friend and fits in well.....but jeez...lets stick with someone...

I couldn't agree more;playing musical chairs with any position is risky, and especially with a key position such as shortstop.
