  • Another Play Where the Line Is A Gift

How would you like to play a team whose pitcher has the second best ERA of all American League starters. In 12 starts he is 6-1 with a 2.41 ERA. That's a great ERA for the AL where pitchers don't bat. But read on. In 10 of his 12 starts he gave up just 2 runs or less, his other two starts just 3 runs once 4 runs once.

PLAY THE A's WITH GAUDIN AND WOULD YOU BELIEVE HE IS THE DOG GETTING YOU +121.

Gaudin 6.2 innings, 2 Earned Runs

Half right, Phil. I didn't plan on Gaudin pulled with two outs in the 7th and no one on base. He had only thrown 97 pitches and pitched the way I said he would. After that, the game turned into a toss-up and we won by luck, although it never should have come to that.

I'm writing this because this game taught me a lesson you might want to follow too. Next time I play because of the starting pitchers, which I don't do much of anyway, I'm spilting my bet into two plays. One for the first five innings and one for the full game. That should protect us from dumb managers pulling starters way to soon.

Gaudin's next start should be at Houston Thursday June 14th at 2:00 PM EDT. Being a road game, he could still be a dog or a small favorite at worst. If you plan to play the A's with me, remember this is a day game so play it in time.

Sandy you don't have to explain yourself to that drunk.
Phil Jr. wouldn't be happy if he was hung with a new rope.
I hope that Old Milwaukee gives you the shits today Phil Jr.
              Nice win Sandy.

I appreciate the call last night Sandy......and boy you are right we just had somethings go our way last night. Sweating bullets Giants bases juiced and we got out unbelievable!! Then the catcher going down when Murphy goes on contact, what a WILD finish. Look for your post everyday, because I know they are good ones. Again Thanks for the WINNER!!
