I had my first 0-2 day of the year Monday when both dogs lost. I actually like a favorite today!
1* Cardinals -122
This is a reasonable line given how bad the Reds are and how badly Arroyo is pitching. He's given up an astonishing 20 earned runs his last 11 innings. Meanwhile, the Reds keep losing and have the worst record in the National League. A team that bad on the road should be a bigger dog. The Cardinals may finally be waking up. They've won five of six and scored 38 runs in that span. Their pitcher tonite, Thompson, is pitching OK and the Cards have won four of his last five starts.

The Red Sox are in their first slump of the year, having lost five of six. Wakefield's been lousy his last four starts. Oakland's Kennedy is pitching very well and is especially tough at home. Oakland has won four in a row.
