I went 1-1 on Wednesday; both on dogs for another small profit as I continue to grind away in a positive direction.
1* Braves +135
The headline of my thread states my baseball philosophy (along with picking almost all dogs). The Cubs aren't cold. They're frozen. They're also making fools of themselves with Barrett and Zambrano rumbling in the dugout and clubhouse. That aside, the Braves are a much better team and starter James has pitched fairly well. The Cubs' Hill is inconsistent but his teammates are very consistent: they've lost five in a row and 9 of their last 11. So why are they favored? They shouldn't be. Get the win and the extra cash you get with a dog.
1* Twins +139
Here's the hot team. Minnesota has won five in a row and eight of its last nine but gets a fat underdog line for no good reason. The pitching matchup is fine as Silva has had two greats starts and one decent one in his last five. Oakland's Blanton has been shelled in his last two outings.
Opinion only: Giants (big dog line on an even pitching matchup; almost made this one a full play)
