    Anaheim at Ottawa
The Senators were dominated defensively in the first two games of the series and did not resemble the team that had lost only three games in the first three rounds of the playoffs. Ottawa was outshot 63-36 and could not produce an even-strength goal with the top line of Heatley, Spezza and Alfredsson producing only 11 shots and two assists. Meanwhile Anaheim's checking line of Pahlsson, Niedermayer and Moen played near-perfect defense and produced the winning goals in both games. The Ducks look like the tougher team right now and a good underdog pick in Game Three according to Dunkel, which has Anaheim favored straight up by 1/2 a goal. Dunkel Pick: Anaheim (+1 1/2). Here are all of today's games.

Los Angeles Dodgers at Pittsburgh Pirates (-126, 8 ½)

Ian Snell has been solid this season with a 3.14 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP, but the Pirates have scored four runs or fewer in nine of his 11 starts, leaving him 4-4 on the season.

The 25-year-old right-hander should finally get some run support today if Pittsburgh’s bats can keep things up.

The Pirates are averaging 5.43 runs per game over the last week despite getting shut out twice. They are hitting .291 as a team with a .769 OPS.

Don’t expect those numbers to go down against left-hander Hong-Chih Kuo, who will be making his first start of the season for the Dodgers. Kuo has a 15.43 ERA in two relief appearances for the Dodgers this season, but did manage to go 1-2 with a 3.25 ERA in five starts for Los Angeles in 2006.

      Pick: Pirates -126

Detroit Tigers at Cleveland Indians (-142, 11)

Last night’s loss could be tough to recover from for the Tigers. Detroit led 11-7 going into the bottom of the ninth before Cleveland rolled out five runs to pull out the win as a -167 favorite.

Expect that momentum to carry over to tonight when the Indians try and continue their remarkable home streak to start the season. Cleveland is 19-4 at Jacobs Field this season and has won 12 of its last 13 home games.

The Indians are also on a strong run overall, having won 12 of their last 17.

Left-hander Cliff Lee will start for Cleveland. Chad Durbin will start for Detroit.

      Pick: Cleveland -142

Minnesota Twins at Oakland Athletics (-136, 8 ½)

This is pretty much a bet against Carlos Silva. The big right-hander has a 6.18 ERA and a 1.66 WHIP in five road starts this season and posted a 7.28 ERA and a 1.83 WHIP in 19 road appearances (16 starts, three in relief) in 2006.

Joe Blanton has also been dynamite for the A’s at home this season. The 26-year-old is 1-1 at McAfee Coliseum with a 2.46 ERA and a 0.91 WHIP.

The Twins are also struggling to hit in Oakland in recent years. Minnesota has scored just 17 runs in six games dating back to the beginning of the 2006 season.

      Pick: Athletics -136

            SCOREBOARD
            Saturday, June 2

Detroit at Cleveland, (8:30 p.m. EDT). The Cavaliers can advance to the NBA Finals for the first time in team history.

            MICHAEL NEVER DID THAT

LeBron James was the first player to score 25 straight points in the postseason, when he scored Cleveland's final 25 and 29 of the last 30 in the Cavaliers' 109-107 win in double overtime over Detroit in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals.

            DICE OK

Detroit Pistons forward Antonio McDyess will not be further penalized by the NBA for his rough foul in the first quarter on Cavaliers forward Anderson Varejao in Game 5 on Thursday night. McDyess received a flagrant-2 foul after he unexpectedly clotheslined Varejao under the basket and was ejected. On Friday, league spokesman Tim Frank said McDyess will not face any more discipline.

            APPEARING ACT

Billy Donovan was introduced Friday as coach of the Orlando Magic. He won back-to-back national titles at Florida before agreeing to terms with the Magic on Thursday night. Donovan accepted a five-year, $27.5 million contract, which pays more than twice the annual $1.7 million he was making at Florida, an official in the NBA told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity. The team did not disclose terms.

            SOAK IT IN

Just how drained was LeBron James following his 48-point performance in Cleveland's 109-107 win in double overtime over Detroit in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals? James received an IV to guard against dehydration before leaving Detroit's home arena for the short flight back to Cleveland on Friday morning.

            SPEAKING

''You know, I'm still in awe.'' - Cavaliers coach Mike Brown on Friday, the day after LeBron James scored 48 points to lead Cleveland over Detroit 109-107 in two overtimes.

              SCOREBOARD
              Saturday, June 2

Anaheim at Ottawa (8 p.m. EDT). The Senators will have home-ice advantage as they try to bounce back from an 0-2 series deficit.

              HIGH-POWER LINE

Samuel Pahlsson, Rob Niedermayer and Travis Moen are doing their job in shutting down the Senators' top line. In two games, Daniel Alfredsson, Dany Heatley and Jason Spezza have been limited to a combined 11 shots and two assists - a considerable drop-off for a trio that had produced 23 of Ottawa's 48 goals through the first three playoff rounds. Also, Moen scored the winning goal in Anaheim's 3-2 victory in Game 1, and Pahlsson produced the lone goal in a 1-0 win on Wednesday.

              REUNITED

The NHL will pay tribute to members of the league's greatest dynasty before Game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals on Saturday. Jean Beliveau, Henri Richard, Dickie Moore, Tom Johnson, Jean-Guy Talbot and Don Marshall will be on hand as part of a select group of 12 Montreal Canadiens who played for each of the record-setting five straight Stanley Cup-winning teams from 1956-60.

              SIGNED

Carolina re-signed defenseman Glen Wesley to a one-year, $1.4 million contract Friday. Wesley, who will return for a 13th season with the franchise, is the last original player from the 1997-98 squad - the first in North Carolina for the former Hartford Whalers - and ranks second in franchise history with 835 games played. ... Forward Matthew Lombardi signed a three-year contract extension with Calgary. Lombardi comes off a breakout season with career highs in goals (20) and assists (26) in 81 games this season.

              RESIGNED

The NHL's Players' Association accepted senior director Ken Kim's resignation Friday. Kim and former executive director Ted Saskin, whom the NHLPA executive board voted unanimously to fire on May 10, were put on paid leaves in March following allegations they read players' e-mails.

              SPEAKING

''He thinks he's from Red Deer.'' - Anaheim GM Brian Burke on the determination of checking-line forward Samuel Pahlsson.

                      Stanley Cup Finals

Ottawa led Anaheim 2-1 after second period of Game 1 at Pond; since then, they've been outshot 45-23, outscored 3-0, and find themselves down 2-0 in games as series now shifts to national capitol of Canada. Anaheim won 14 of 18 faceoffs in offensive zone Wednesday. Senators' last six games have been decided by a single goal, but they've only scored eight goals in last five games. Unless they find some offense soon, Stanley Cup will spend yet another summer in a warm weather climate.
