Shooting From The Hip:
Rather than shoot an 88 ( or probably 90 ) Michelle Wie chose to quit the LPGA Ginn Tribute yesterday in Mount Pleasant , S.C. She claimed that her wrist was bothering her as she was flat bedded off the course by her caddie and her parents.
Wie's round included a crowd pleasing 10 on the par-5 third hole, when her first drive hit a parked car and rolled down a roadway drain. After her provisional tee shot went way left into a pond, Wie's third drive landed in the rough and she went on to a quintuple bogey.
Wie said that hopes to play in next week's Major, the McDonald's LPGA Championship.
So my questions are:
1) … who exactly does this youngster think she's trying to hoodwink ? … on the one hand she’s "injured" severely enough to quit one week , then states she’ll probably play next week in The Mc Donalds ... a HUGE Major Tourney
2) … Has Wie been taking more acting lessons than golf lessons ?
and finally ..
3) … How do you say “ No Mas “ in Korean ?
On a much classier note … Annika Sorenstam , who is hosting this event, shot even par with a broken neck.
